How do I sponsor my family in Dubai?

You sponsor on your own residence, and each family member gets a permit linked to yours. On a job or company visa, the income test is AED 4,000 a month, or AED 3,000 with company housing.

Can I sponsor my parents on a Golden Visa?

Yes, on a permit for the same ten years as your own residency. Each parent needs health insurance and a certificate from their consulate showing they depend on you.

What is the age limit for children on a Golden Visa?

Unmarried sons and daughters over 18 stay on a Golden Visa with a signed undertaking, so turning 18 does not end their residency. Married children need their own route.

Can a wife sponsor her husband in Dubai on a property visa?

Yes. A woman holding a Golden Visa, retirement visa or the two-year property visa can sponsor her husband with an attested marriage certificate. To add the children, she also needs a notarised no-objection letter from their father.

Can a Golden Visa holder sponsor a domestic worker?

Yes. Domestic workers can join under your sponsorship, through the government’s Domestic Workers Package, with their own health insurance and, from age 18, a medical test.

How much does it cost to sponsor family in Dubai?

It depends on how many people join you, their ages, and the medical test, Emirates ID and health insurance each needs. A 15-minute call prices your household.

What happens to my family’s visas if I cancel mine?

Dependants' permits are cancelled before the sponsor’s own, or put on hold for a limited time for a fee. Cancelling your visa alone, while it sponsors family, needs a guarantee.

How soon must I register a newborn in Dubai?

A foreign family must register a newborn’s Emirates ID within four months of birth. We plan the baby’s papers from the first weeks.
