PRO & government liaisonDubai, UAEGDRFA · ICA · MOHRE · DET

Government work is a calendar, not paperwork.

Licences and visas run on deadlines that do not forgive. One lapsed date stops hiring, freezes banking, and starts a fine clock. We own that calendar, so nothing expires by surprise.

Tell us your next deadline

One senior advisor on the account, first call to final stamped document. You deal with the principal, not a processor passing your file down a desk.

Four authorities, one calendar

Every UAE company runs all four at once. Each sets its own deadlines, and none waits for the others.

GDRFA & ICA

Entry permits, visas, Emirates ID. Residency runs on expiry dates that drive everything downstream.

MOHRE

The establishment card and labour permits. If it lapses, every employment visa behind it is blocked.

DET

Trade licence renewals, MOA amendments, Ejari. The licence anchors the structure; let it expire and the rest stalls.

The work is sequence, not forms. Knowing which date drives which filing, and in what order, separates a renewal that clears from one that cascades into overstay and fines.
Why it matters

Your filings are not a list. They are a sequence.

Each filing depends on the one before it. This is the chain the calendar conceals:

  • The establishment card must be current before a visa is filed.
  • The visa must clear before the Emirates ID issues.
  • A valid Ejari must be in place before the licence renews.
  • Miss one date and every filing below it stops. PRO work reads as admin until the first deadline slips, and then one lapse rolls forward through the business.
What one slip becomes

A missed date is rarely just a missed date.

None of this is on the renewal notice. Each step costs more than the filing it started with.

01

The lapse

A card or visa is left to expire while the person responsible is mid-quarter on something else. The renewal goes in late, or incomplete, and the window to fix it quietly is closing.

02

The re-queue

An incomplete submission returns to day one: a new medical, a fresh appointment, the clock restarted inside the 30-day window. The delay you caused is now the authority's to schedule.

03

The block

A lapsed establishment card blocks every visa behind it, staff renewals included. An overstaying visa accrues daily fines and puts the holder's status at risk.

Who decides here: the authority, not us
04

The freeze

An expired Emirates ID stalls banking, insurance, and leases. An unrenewed licence cannot trade, and past the grace window the authority can begin cancellation.

How we work

We own the calendar. You stop watching dates.

The value is not running errands. It is holding your company's dependency map, so the right filing goes in before the date that drives it. Three things that look like admin and are not.

We track the datesEvery expiry on our calendar, not your inbox. Renewals start 45 to 60 days out, never the week they fall due.
We file it completeThe form each authority is currently accepting, with the document it now requires. It moves rather than sits.
One advisor, accountableThe same senior advisor owns every submission across GDRFA, ICA, MOHRE, and DET, with a reply within two business hours.
UBO register, currentWe keep the Ultimate Beneficial Owner register current and notify the registrar of any ownership or control change inside the deadline.

The honest part: we will not promise an outcome an authority controls. Queues and acceptance criteria belong to GDRFA, ICA, MOHRE, and DET, and they shift. We control the document set, the sequence, and the timing: complete, in order, and on time, with the realistic timeline told before anything is filed, not after.

The honest fit

Who needs this most, and who does not.

PRO support earns its place when the volume or the stakes outgrow doing it between other work. Read both sides and decide for yourself.

This is for you if

  • You sponsor a growing team and visa renewals now overlap through the year.
  • A licence, establishment card, or Ejari renewal is approaching and the documents are not yet straight.
  • A filing was rejected once and you want the next submission to clear cleanly.
  • You are mid-amendment, adding a shareholder or changing activity or address, and need the MOA filings sequenced correctly.
  • The cost of a lapse, blocked hiring or a banking freeze, far outweighs the cost of the support.

You may not need us yet if

  • You are a solo founder on one visa with no staff, where a single annual renewal is manageable once you know the date and the document set.
  • Your free zone bundles PRO into its own portal. Some zones process visas in-house, and we will tell you when yours covers it.
  • You have a reliable in-house PRO, where a one-off second opinion on a complex filing fits better than ongoing support.
  • Your only need is outside Dubai-led federal processes. For purely emirate-specific work elsewhere we advise case by case rather than take it on.
The specific reality

What a standard employment visa actually involves.

Each stage has its own authority, its own queue, and its own documents. A delay at any one compounds the total. The figures below are realistic, not best-case, and assume a complete, correct application.

1
Entry permit · 3 to 7 working days
Filed with GDRFA Dubai or ICA, depending on the visa category. The establishment card must be current before it proceeds.
2
Medical fitness test · 3 to 5 working days
Done at a DHA-approved or ICP-authorised centre. The certificate is required before biometrics can be booked.
3
Emirates ID biometrics · 2 to 3 working days
An appointment at an ICP service centre. The Emirates ID issues after the visa stamp, and both run in parallel from here.
4
Visa stamping and Emirates ID · 2 to 3 working days
Total realistic timeline is 12 to 20 working days for a complete application. Incomplete submissions restart the clock. We size your case against the current wait before submission.

What we handle

The full government layer, on one calendar.

From the day the company forms to every renewal after, one advisor across all of it, so the dependencies between filings are never lost in a handoff.

Visa Processing

New employment and investor visa applications, renewals, cancellations, and status changes. Coordination with GDRFA Dubai and ICA. Entry permits, medical fitness testing, biometric appointments.

Emirates ID

New applications, renewals, and replacement requests. Emirates ID delays affect banking, insurance, and lease agreements.

Establishment Card (MOHRE)

Required for all mainland companies before employment visas can issue. We obtain and renew the establishment card and manage MOHRE registration.

Licence Renewals

DET mainland and free zone licence renewals, activity additions, and trade name changes. Submitted with correct documentation before expiry. Late renewal attracts penalties.

MOA Amendments

Shareholder additions or removals, capital increases, activity changes, address changes, and company name changes.

Ejari Registration

Tenancy contract registration with the Real Estate Regulatory Agency. Required for mainland office addresses.

Attestation & Notarisation

Document attestation for courts, embassies, and government authorities. Certificate attestation through MOFA.

What are PRO services in the UAE and why do I need them?

PRO (Public Relations Officer) services cover the government liaison and administrative processes a UAE business must complete after incorporation: visa processing, Emirates ID, licence renewals, establishment cards, government filings, and document processing. A missed visa or licence renewal has immediate consequences: banking freezes, visa processing blocks, and accumulating fines.

How long does a UAE employment visa take?

Standard processing: entry permit (3 to 7 working days), medical fitness test (3 to 5 working days), Emirates ID biometrics (2 to 3 working days), visa stamping (2 to 3 working days). Total realistic timeline: 12 to 20 working days for a straightforward application with complete documents.

What is an establishment card and why does my company need it?

An establishment card (work permit card) is issued by MOHRE and required for all mainland companies before they can process employment visas. It authorises the company to hire employees and is renewed annually alongside the trade licence.

Can I renew my UAE visa without leaving the country?

Usually, yes. Standard employment and investor visa renewals are processed as in-country status changes, without the holder exiting the UAE. The process involves application submission, a medical fitness test, and Emirates ID renewal.

What documents do I need for a UAE employment visa?

Typical documents: offer letter or employment contract, educational certificates (attested for certain professions), applicant's passport copy, visa application form, employer's establishment card, and health insurance certificate.

My employee's visa is about to expire. How quickly can we process a renewal?

Started promptly, a renewal completes within 10 to 15 working days. Visas can be renewed up to 30 days before expiry. We recommend starting 45 to 60 days before expiry.

What is MOHRE and when do I need to interact with them?

The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MOHRE) regulates employment for mainland UAE companies. It handles establishment card issuance and renewal, labour contracts, work permit processing, Wage Protection System (WPS) compliance, end-of-service gratuity calculations, and labour disputes.

Can you handle visa processing if we are based in Abu Dhabi or another emirate?

Our core operations are in Dubai. Federal processes (ICA, MOHRE) are handled centrally regardless of emirate. For emirate-specific processes outside Dubai, we advise case by case.

What is Ejari and do I need it to renew my company licence?

Ejari is the Real Estate Regulatory Agency's tenancy contract registration system in Dubai. A valid Ejari for the company's office address is required for DET mainland licence renewal. If the tenancy or the Ejari has lapsed, the licence cannot be renewed until a new Ejari is registered.

My company's licence expired six months ago. Can you still help?

Yes. A lapsed licence requires renewal with late penalties. Most DET licences can be renewed within a 12-month grace period with accumulated fines. Beyond that window, the licensing authority may have started a cancellation process, which needs a different approach.

Do free zone companies need PRO services, or does the free zone handle it?

It depends on the zone. Some free zones run visa and licence work through their own portal; others leave it to you. Federal steps like Emirates ID biometrics and the medical fitness test sit outside the zone regardless. We tell you what your specific zone covers before you commit.
