How we handle your information
What we collect, why we collect it, who we share it with, and how long we keep it.
01Information we collect
We collect only the information we need to respond to your enquiry and deliver an engagement. This typically includes your name and contact details such as an email address and telephone number. Any details about your business or situation that you choose to share whenever you contact us are included too.
Where you engage us for a service, we collect the documents and information required for that specific matter. These can include passport copies and proof of address. Where the relevant UAE authority or bank requires them, they can also include shareholder details or financial records.
02How we use it
We use your information to reply to your enquiry and to assess whether your situation fits our practice. The same information lets us prepare and deliver the work you engage us for. Where you instruct us, it is used to communicate with the relevant authorities and banks on your behalf. It also meets our own legal and regulatory duties in the UAE.
Your information is not used for unrelated purposes. Nor do we send marketing you have not asked for.
03Sharing
We never sell your personal data. Sharing happens only where your engagement or a consented service requires it, and only to the extent that step needs.
For an engagement, that means the relevant processors. They can include a UAE government authority such as DET, ICP, GDRFA or the FTA, a bank you are applying to, or an attestation or notarisation service. Each receives only the information needed for that step, and only because the engagement cannot proceed without it.
04Data retention
We keep your information for as long as needed to deliver the engagement and to meet UAE record-keeping rules. For regulated records, that is at least five years under UAE law. Once information is no longer required, and no law obliges us to retain it, it is deleted or securely disposed of.
05Your rights
You may request access to the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct it if it is inaccurate. Deletion can also be requested where we are not legally required to keep it. To make a request, email info@dm-uae.com. A response follows in a reasonable time, though we may need to verify your identity before acting on the request.
06Cookies and analytics
The site sets a small amount of essential browser storage required for it to function and to remember your privacy choice. It is always active.
With your consent, we also use analytics and marketing cookies, such as Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity and the Meta pixel. They help us understand how the site is used, measure our advertising and show our ads to people who have visited. Meta may collect information through its pixel on this site and elsewhere on the internet, and use it to measure and target ads. Microsoft Clarity may also record anonymised session interactions to produce aggregate heatmaps, for example where visitors click and scroll.
We also offer Zoho SalesIQ live chat, which loads on the same basis. It sets cookies to run the chat and remember your conversation. These load only after you select “Accept all” on the banner shown on your first visit. If you choose “Essential only,” or take no action, none of them are set.
You can change or withdraw your choice at any time from the Privacy choices link in the site footer. Declining analytics and marketing cookies does not affect your ability to use the site or contact us.
