What are the requirements for an employment visa in Dubai?

A valid licence with no violations, an establishment card, and a job title that fits your licensed activity. The employee must be 18 or over, apart from juvenile and student permits.

How long is a work visa valid in Dubai?

Usually two years, renewable, with the employer applying. A sponsored residence can run from one to three years depending on the issuer, and we hold the renewal date for you.

What is the difference between a work permit and a residence visa?

The work permit is the permission to employ that person in that job, from MoHRE or the free zone. The residence visa lets them live in the UAE. Hires from abroad usually need both.

Is a medical test required for a UAE employment visa?

Yes. Each hire aged 18 or over takes a medical fitness test at an approved UAE centre before the residence visa is issued, and Emirates ID biometrics follow.

What salary does an employee need to sponsor family in the UAE?

AED 4,000 a month, or AED 3,000 with company housing, plus suitable housing and proof of kinship. Each family member then holds a permit linked to the employee’s.

How much does an employment visa cost in Dubai?

It depends on the work permit and residence parts, the medical test, the Emirates ID and the health insurance. A 15-minute call prices your next hire.

Can a Golden Visa holder or a spouse on a family visa work in Dubai?

Yes. A Golden Visa holder already in the UAE, or a family-sponsored dependant with a valid residence permit, can be employed on a two-year work permit that needs no electronic quota.

Does an employee need health insurance for a work visa in Dubai?

Yes. MoHRE will not issue or renew a private-sector worker’s work permit without valid health insurance, and the employer buys the policy when the residence permit is issued or renewed.
